Steve & Kate's San Francisco - Sunset
· DATES: Jun 26 - Aug 25, 2017
· ADDRESS: Lycée Français de San Francisco: Ortega Campus, 1201 Ortega Street, San Francisco

What makes our camp so special?

My name is Bonnie, but everyone calls me Bonsai. And what I love most about our Sunset camp is all of the inventions campers make. One time, a camper designed and sewed their own elephant costume in our Fashion Studio, and then asked to sniff people's feet with her trunk. Soon, she had created a new superhero: the elephant who could tell your fortune by smelling your feet! (Patent pending.) Another invention was Summerween. Our campers created a holiday where we celebrate Halloween in the summer. We make spider snacks, sing Halloween carols, and have a costume parade! It's been such a hit that it has spread to Steve & Kate's camps throughout the country. Simply put, I believe that kids don't have to wait until they grow up to become inventors, and I can't wait to see what your kids create! - Bonnie

Testimonials

"My daughter absolutely loves this camp! Steve and Kate’s provides the quintessential summer camp experience (arts and crafts, music, games, lots of laughs with friends, and Friday Pie Day!) She has maintained and cherished friendships formed at Steve and Kate’s and looks forward to hanging out with her camp buddies over the summer. The camp counselors are absolutely phenomenal and provide a safe and FUN experience for the kids. When camp ends, my daughter always exclaims 'I can’t WAIT to go back again next year!!'” - Kim H.
"My child has been attending Steve & Kate's 4 years and counting. It was a very good transition point from pre-school to kinder in terms of getting my child in a larger group of children that was also comprised of older kids, closer to what elementary school would be like. Beyond that first summer, each summer after has been filled with unbounded activities, food that was fondly talked about, and good friendships with the staff and other campers. My child spends most of the school year planning for the next Steve & Kate's summer." -Elana N.
"I loved the climbing wall, the bread baking, the super nice staff, and the dancing. Also pie-day Friday!" -8 year old camper | "Highly recommended summer camp. The flexible dates, secure pick-up process, and positive energy of staff especially camp director Bonnie make this a great place. Staff are sensitive and caring to new camp kids. Lots of variety in activities. Especially liked the baked bread treats brought home. Attended orientation with my child and that helped ease attending. Camp was recommended by a friend and now I recommend it to friends myself." -SF mom of 9 year-old camper

Specials

Each day at camp, we feature at least one of three show stoppers from our lineup for campers to experience. Directors at each location will decide when and how often to schedule each of these Specials, so feel free to contact your Director to find out what will be scheduled each day.

Gaga - Jump into a fast paced, high energy version of dodgeball played in an octagonal pit.

Giant Games - Our King-Sized outdoor Chess and Checker really bring these class games to life.

Smart Karts - Get behind the wheel of one of Silicon Valley's latest and greatest inventions: the first electric smart-kart for kids. Campers must wear helmets while driving go-karts. While the camp will provide helmets, we prefer and encourage you to provide your own if you have one and your child would like to participate.
