Steve & Kate’s exists because we believe that kids can only reach their potential if we get out of their way. We think that schedules, curricula, and standardized tests get in the way of children’s natural creativity, so we trust kids with the freedom to make their own choices, learn from their mistakes, and come up with ideas that we never could have imagined.
The same thing goes for how we hire people. We think that job titles and job descriptions are narrow and pointless; all they do is try to tell you that there’s only one way to do your job. Instead, we just hire amazing people and trust them with the freedom to tackle challenges however they see fit, and they come up with ideas we never could have imagined.
