Use Bright Horizons Back-Up Care at Steve & Kate's Camp

Bright Horizons partners with choice employers to offer subsidized back-up care. Just select S&K as your requested care provider during your normal back-up care booking process.

You can reserve any number of the back-up care days you have in your BH account, buy additional retail days if you need more, and even apply the full value of your back-up care days to the cost of a Summer Pass—which covers all days we’re open in summer. Learn how.

How It Works

Reserve your Back-Up Care days by calling the BH contact center at 877-242-2737, or get started by registering on the My BH website. When booking, request your local Steve & Kate’s as the provider. You can see all of our camp locations, here.

Once your reservation is confirmed, we’ll automatically email you with a unique registration link to create, or update an existing, account with us.

We provide lunch, snacks, & all activities, so you just need to show up! You can reserve more days through Back-Up Care at anytime. Once BH confirms your new dates, we’ll automatically add them to your account with us.

Early Reservation Access

New this year, families are able to reserve their Back-Up Care with Steve & Kate’s Camp now for the entire 2023 summer!

To access early booking, please call your dedicated Bright Horizons call center, or reach out to their contact center at 877-242-2737, and request care at your local Steve & Kate’s Camp.

Please note that instant bookings through your online portal will continue to only be available during the traditional 60 day reservation window. In order to book camp dates further than 60 days out, you will need to call the Bright Horizons contact center.

FAQs

How do I apply my Back-Up Care days toward a full Summer Pass?

You can now apply the full value of your Bright Horizons Back-Up Care days toward the cost of a Summer Pass.

Our Summer Pass includes lunch, snacks, and all hours (8am–6pm) for any day we’re open this summer–at any camp location.

To use this option, just reserve as many Back-Up Care days as you’d like for Steve & Kate’s Camp. Then, login to your S&K account and purchase any supplemental Day Passes needed to reach a Summer Pass. Similarly, you can purchase your supplemental days with S&K now, and then reserve your Back-Up Care days later.

Either way, once you have a total of 30* Day Passes for a given child in your S&K account, whether they’re Bright Horizon days or purchased through us, you’ll automatically be upgraded to a Summer Pass!

*Some camp locations require less than 30 days for a Summer Pass due to the shortened length of summer. Please see our summer fees page for specifics at your local camp.

When can I use my benefits for camp?

You can use your Back-Up Care benefits for any camp day we’re open!

Once you’re 60 days out from the anticipated date of care, you will be able to reserve your days through Bright Horizons instant book platform. Just log into My BH & select your local S&K location as your requested care provider.

Please note that a handful of employers have opted out of early reservation access. If you have any questions about your benefits, or how to book your care, please reach out to Bright Horizons at 877-242-2737.

They won't let me book my care until 60 days before camp. What if you fill up?

Don’t worry–we know some employers restrict how early families can reserve care. That’s why we plan ahead and prep for an influx in registrations from our Bright Horizons families during that time.

If you’re planning to buy supplemental days through us, you can always purchase your Day Passes now.

And, in case you didn’t see, most families are now able to reserve their Back-Up Care days with Steve & Kate’s Camp as early as Jan. 13th–for the entire 2023 summer! To utilize this early booking option, please call your dedicated Bright Horizons call center, or reach out to their contact center at 877-242-2737, and request care at your local Steve & Kate’s Camp.

Still, a handful of employers have opted out of this early reservation access. If your employer still requires waiting until 60 days before your intended use of care to book, then we’ll be ready for you at that time! We just recommend booking your care as soon as you’re able to, to ensure your spot.

What if I don't have enough Back-Up Care days to cover all the dates I need?

No worries! Families can supplement their Back-Up Care days by purchasing Passes directly through us at any time. Just log into your account and navigate to the ‘Plans’ tab to purchase your Day Passes.

You can also apply the full value of your Bright Horizons Back-Up Care days toward the cost of a Summer Pass, which is good for any day we’re open that camp season.

To use this option, just reserve as many Back-Up Care days as you’d like for Steve & Kate’s Camp. Then, login to your S&K account and purchase any supplemental Day Passes needed to reach a Summer Pass. Similarly, you can purchase your supplemental days with S&K now, and then reserve your Back-Up Care days later.

What if I need to make changes to my reservations?

We understand things come up and plans change. If you need to cancel your Back-Up Care reservations, please get in touch with Bright Horizons as soon as possible.

Once your care is cancelled through Bright Horizons, our system will automatically remove the correlating days from your Steve & Kate’s Camp account, so there’s no need to let us know.

Any additional unused Day Passes purchased through us will be automatically refunded in full at summer’s end. If you purchased a Summer Pass but end up not using enough camp to justify the cost, then we’ll calculate what you would have paid at the Day Pass rate, and automatically refund the difference at summer’s end.  You can learn more about our refund policy for Passes purchased through us, here.
