FUTURE-PROOF

How Will Kids Thrive In A World Where Robots May Replace Radiologists?

Adaptability. The confidence to risk, fail and rise. Self-knowledge and deep trust in their instincts and capabilities.

That’s why kids take charge at our camp, rather than waiting until they’re “old enough” to make decisions. They leap and lead, today, to build the self-confidence they’ll need to wrangle unknowns tomorrow.

Robots? Look out. Kids are coming.

How Do Parents Plan For The Unplanned?

Our enrollment rolls with the punches, without locking in or blocking out. We never want parents to fret over dates or dollars. Calendars aren’t crystal balls, so forego forecasting; we adjust, and you won’t lose what you don’t use.

Our "Normal Time" Practice: Choose Day Passes or a Summer Pass, good for any day, at any location. Everything’s included (even lunch and snacks). Unused passes? No sweat: automatic refunds. You don’t have to call ahead, dictate dates in advance, or predict the future.

Our 2020 COVID-19 Policy: Due to new health guidelines, registration will be in weekly blocks, instead of by the day. As much as we’d love to be able to have campers join us for just a day or two each week, we won’t be able to fill their spot on missed days. So, please, give us five. That being said, we know that things happen. If your kid does miss a day, we’ll still refund it automatically—COVID may impact flexibility, but it won’t impact what is fair.

The Surest Path Towards Thriving Is If Kids Are Driving.

At Steve & Kate’s, we’ve always believed in following kids’ compasses. Today, our philosophy of self-direction feels even more vital. Campers act on their judgments and fuel their sense of self, develop the drive to adapt, leap and lead. We invest in kids’ boundless capability and credibility. They - and our world - will be better for it.

We can’t say exactly what days at camp will look like, where they’ll go, or what campers will wind up whipping up, but one thing’s for sure: kids drive.

Kind Words About Camp

"Working parents’ worries dissipate as they contemplate Steve & Kate’s model."

Chicago Tribune

"The children that attend Steve & Kate's blossom and discover a freedom of identity that, in a way, no other institution I've experienced has ever managed. Kids find their thumbprint at Steve & Kate's. My one complaint: Where were they when I was a kid?"

Andrew Stanton

Director of WALL-E, Finding Nemo, & Finding Dory

"If kids ruled the world, it might look something like Steve and Kate’s Camp."

Apple's Hot News

"Steve and Kate’s Camp didn’t set out to cater to the children of folks at Pixar, Industrial Light & Magic and the like, but given their philosophy, it’s no surprise so many attend."

Variety magazine

"For families seeking a blend of that traditional camp experience combined with a modern, tech-savvy touch, there’s Steve and Kate’s Camp [which] evokes a laid-back aura true to its California roots, complemented by the company’s Silicon Valley-inspired innovative approaches to everything from programming to payment."
