Summer And Seasonal Staff Team

Every summer our sites are staffed with the cream of the crop, hailing from schools from all corners of the country (and world!), the Peace Corps, Teach for America, and some even homegrown from campers to team members. Curious, Compassionate, Creative, and Can’t wait to meet your camper, they are there to give kids just the right amount of structure and guidance.

Assistant Directors (ADs) work alongside our year-round Self Directors to manage all facets of camp. They help campers find friends, learn the ropes and transition from the structure of school to the freedom of self-directed learning, all while connecting with parents, managing their summer team and making sure the site is running smoothly.

Youngest Camper support staff are tireless advocates for our youngest campers (4 and 5 year olds) that help them make friends, introduce them to new activities, communicate with their parents and ensure their basic needs are taken care of by giving snack, drink, sunscreen and bathroom reminders.

HQ staff run Camp Headquarters where they welcome parents and campers, process payments, check kids in and out of camp, manage first aid and provide additional administrative and logistical support for smooth operations across camp.

Activity & Recreation Leads act as guides and facilitators who cultivate camper’s curiosity while ensuring children are safe, engaged and supported in our activities across camp.

Food Operations staff ensure the entire camp is well-fed by ordering and preparing lunch, snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Substitute / Part-Time staff are jacks-of-all-trades and step in to support a wide range of positions at camp on an as-needed basis when our full-time staff are on vacation, call out sick, or we have a spike in attendance increasing our staffing needs.
