STEVE & KATE'S CORTE MADERA · DATES: Jul 27 - Aug 14, 2020 · ADDRESS: The Cove School, 330 Golden Hind Passage, Corte Madera, CA
Corte Madera Summer Camp
Camp life is needed more than ever—to make real connections in person. Read below to find out more about our plans for this summer and how we'll manage to keep kids safe and have fun.
Registration will be in in a three week block, instead of by the day. It’s the first time in 40 years that we won’t be able to allow campers to drop-in by the day. As much as we’d love to be able to have campers join us whenever they’d like, Marin County regulations require that groups of campers remain stable for three at a minimum. That being said, we know that things happen. We're asking families to plan to attend the full time but if your kid does miss a day, we’ll still refund it automatically—COVID may impact flexibility, but it won’t impact what is fair.
July 27 - August 14, 2020
(campers must attend the full three weeks, per county requirements)
In California, we welcome campers between the ages of 4-12.
Drop Off & Pick Up
Curbside drop-off and pick-up will utilize the main driveway.
For drop off, we ask that adults remain in the car and staff will come to check your camper in.
When picking up, we ask that adults shoot us a text 5-7 minutes out with your camper name and we will have them ready to roll when you arrive.
Simply put your ID up to the window, we'll check it, and then load up your camper.
- Registration will be in weekly blocks, instead of by the day. It’s the first time in 40 years that we won’t be able to allow campers to do daily drop-in. As much as we’d love to be able to have campers join us for just a day or two each week, we won’t be able to fill their spot on missed days. So, please, give us five. That being said, we know that things happen. If your kid does miss a day, we’ll still refund it automatically—COVID may impact flexibility, but it won’t impact what is fair. Fees include pizza, snacks and all hours 8:30am to 5:30pm.
Please note: In Corte Madera, campers must attend for the full 3 week session, per County requirements for summer camps.
REALLY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CORTE MADERA
Registration for summer 2020 will be in one three week block. It’s the first time in 40 years that we won’t be able to allow campers to drop-in by the day. As much as we’d love to be able to have campers join us whenever they’d like, Marin County regulations require that groups of campers remain stable (the same) for three weeks. In order to plan our groups, we’ll need to ask that you let us know if you will miss a day of camp. That being said, we know that things happen. If you miss a day of camp and don’t let us know, we’ll reach out to confirm you still have interest in camp. And more than two days absence in any given week may result in your remaining camp days being refunded so that a family in need of the full care can join us. If your kid does miss a day, we’ll still refund it automatically—COVID may impact flexibility, but it won’t impact what is fair.
Due to the new California Face Covering requirement, all people at camp will be required to wear cloth face coverings. We are asking families to provide suitable face coverings from home.
Children may not move or change from one Childcare Establishment, Summer Camp, or Sports Camp to another more frequently than every 3 weeks. Additional Info can be found here https://marinrecovers.com/summer-camps-youth-activities/

The surest path towards thriving is if kids are driving.
At Steve & Kate’s, we’ve always believed in following kids’ compasses. Today, our philosophy of self-direction feels even more vital. Campers act on their judgments and fuel their sense of self, develop the drive to adapt, leap and lead. We invest in kids’ boundless capability and credibility. They - and our world - will be better for it.
We can’t say exactly what days at camp will look like, where they’ll go, or what campers will wind up whipping up, but one thing’s for sure: kids drive.
Check out what Specials are coming to your location each week (note: Specials will be used by one group at a time and sanitized in between uses).

Food is a big deal for us. So is having camp be an all-inclusive experience. We plan to offer lunch and snacks; we just need to do so in a manner that fits with safety guidelines and the logistics of our new normal. While we may add options later, we know that we can deliver on campers' favorite item—pizza! Hot from ovens and into sealed boxes, we can get this item into kids' hands without worry. You can, of course, choose to pack something instead or as a supplement, but pizza will be there. We will also offer an array of snacks for kids to nosh on throughout the day. All snacks will arrive to each stable group in closed packages. We will announce the specific line up in the following weeks, but rest assured, tummies will be full.
