STEVE & KATE'S OAK PARK RIVER FOREST · DATES: Jun 10 - Aug 16, 2019 · ADDRESS: St. Vincent Ferrer School, 1515 Lathrop Avenue, River Forest, IL

OPRF Summer Camp

After a long history of running camps, I have learned that my favorite part is seeing kids smile, hearing them laugh, watching the counselors entertain, and of course, making memories to last a lifetime. It is such a pleasure to be apart of this community. If you see me around, say "hey!" If you don't, then shoot me a note or give me a call, and I'll find you! I'm here to make this summer and this community better than it ever has been, and I will go to the ends of the earth to make that happen.

UNIQUE THINGS ABOUT THIS LOCATION

  • We ask that each camper bring a labeled, reusable water bottle daily. This will help us cut down on our use of non-recyclable plastic cups.
  • Our outdoor space boasts a large grass field, play structure and blacktop space.
  • Specifically for our Launchpad campers: The Groove will be delivering a curated collection of audio, visual and hand on activities for our 4 and 5 year olds every Monday morning. Check out more information here.
  • Water activities will be available on hot and sunny days after lunch. We recommend that families apply sunblock at home and send children with a bathing suit or change of clothes, and a towel.
  • We are open July 5th!  We'll be offering a modified schedule with 4th of July-themed recreational offerings to celebrate the holiday and adjust to lighter than usual attendance. Some of our regular Studios may not be available. To find out more about programming, you can reach out to your Director.
  • This location serves Dark Matter Coffee in the lobby for parents each morning. Enjoy!

TESTIMONIALS

I have only seen my son's confidence continue to soar since starting at Steve & Kate's camp. I am so appreciative of the model the founders created and the ability of you and your staff to carry it out with such enthusiasm and compassion. This is truly the quickest, most positive shift towards greater independence and socialization with peers I have ever seen in him. Thank you.

We have a 5 year old having the summer of her (admittedly short to date) life. She dances her face off then comes home flushed and happy from a day with buddies of all ages with a loaf of kid-baked bread to boot. Beyond our daughter's experience, every parent touch point has been top notch… the camp has proven itself beyond our hopefulest hopes.

How much do I and my kids love this camp? Honestly there are days I consider quitting my job and hanging with them at camp! My kids love the regular staff who are happy, helpful and pleasant. My kids love the food (no packing lunches!!) and the camp is vegetarian friendly. This camp is a lifesaver whether your kids go one day or the whole summer.
