Staff
Tireless child advocates, who balance structure and guidance with staying out of campers’ ways. All staff members are background checked and trained in CPR & first-aid.
Every aspect of our program is designed to put kids in charge of their own learning experience. At Steve & Kate’s, campers choose from a variety of activities in real-time, as they design their day at camp. As kids try, fail, and learn on their own–they learn to trust their own judgment. These will ultimately be the kids who are prepared to tackle the challenges of an ever changing world with creativity and confidence.
Buy any number of Day Passes to use any day we’re open this spring. You don’t even need to tell us when you’re coming–just show up! All Passes include lunch, snacks, activities, and all hours (8am–6pm), so there are no surprise fees later on.
And if for any reason your plans change, we’ll refund your unused Passes automatically in full at spring’s end.

With the trajectory of child vaccinations and loosening regulations, campers will, once again, design their day in real-time by choosing from a variety of activities offered at once. In the early morning and late afternoon, campers ramp up and wind down with recreational choices. For the bulk of the day, children will choose from the activities listed below. While we can’t say exactly what the day will look like, one thing is for sure: The campers are in control.
Check out what specials are coming to your camp location. Specials will be used by one group at a time and sanitized between uses.
Staff and campers will Complete a Wellness Survey and/or other screening to identify any potential health concerns upon arrival each day.
Check back closer to spring for your virtual camp orientation. Once we get closer to Spring Break, we’ll email you a link to our Online Camp Orientation. This will provide information relevant to all of our camp locations, including how to check-in and check-out, what to bring (and not bring) and a few more camp details.
With vaccine availability on the rise and pandemic regulations opening up, we believe Summer 2022 will be back to our traditional, free-range programming, without requiring advanced weekly reservations. We’ll email all registered families if regulations change prior to summer.
Buy any number of Day Passes or a Summer Pass, and use them whenever you’d like during the summer. You don’t even need to let us know when you plan to join–just show up! If for any reason your plans change, we’ll refund your unused Passes automatically in-full at summer’s end. We also offer need-based financial aid to qualifying families. Learn more or submit an application, here.
All fees include lunch, snacks and all hours 8:00am to 6:00pm.

We provide daily lunch options from a rotating variety of local restaurants and caterers. We’ll also offer an array of snacks for kids to nosh on throughout the day. Check out the daily menu below.
AND DOZENS MORE!
Our directors work year-round and would love to help you learn more about our program and at the same time learn more about you and your camper.
This is Kenita’s 2nd year working with Steve & Kate’s Camp; running the Culver City location last summer! Kenita is a fan of the outdoors and spends her free time hiking with her dog Sully, kayaking, and playing 3rd base for her co-ed softball team.
This spring Kenita is most excited to share Steve & Kate’s traditions at the new Torrance Spring Day Camp!
