STEVE & KATE'S ARLINGTON · DATES: Jun 22 - Aug 14, 2020 · ADDRESS: St. Thomas More Cathedral School, 105 N. Thomas St., Arlington, VA

Arlington Summer Camp

I believe that children should have the freedom and tools to explore what they are passionate about. And if they don't know what they're passionate about yet - all the more reason for us to give them the tools and support they need to feel confident in exploring all that camp has to offer! I am so excited to work with all of the fashionistas, coders, chefs, actors, directors, and singers at Steve & Kate's Camp in Arlington this summer!

  • Kindly keep all personal electronic devices and valuables at the homestead. We don't want them to get lost or damaged. If your child absolutely must bring an electronic device to camp, be sure to check it in at HQ upon arrival where we'll keep it safe and warm. Campers are always welcome to stop by HQ and access a cell phone whenever needed- and then check that puppy back in until departure.
  • Bicycles can be locked up on campus but cannot be used during the camp day, as well as rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, etc.

The surest path towards thriving is if kids are driving.

At Steve & Kate’s, we’ve always believed in following kids’ compasses. Today, our philosophy of self-direction feels even more vital. Campers act on their judgments and fuel their sense of self, develop the drive to adapt, leap and lead. We invest in kids’ boundless capability and credibility. They - and our world - will be better for it.

We can’t say exactly what days at camp will look like, where they’ll go, or what campers will wind up whipping up, but one thing’s for sure: kids drive.

Each day at camp, we offer at least one showstopper activity from our lineup of Specials. More info on this location’s weekly and daily specials in 2020 coming soon.

2020 menu details coming soon. In the meantime, you can read more about how food works at camp here.

This is a wonderful, wonderful camp!  Our 7-year-old was exposed to things we hadn't done at home before such as... baking bread and sewing a vest!  The counselors are all really positive and friendly.  In addition to the camp content itself, Steve & Kate's has really great (read: extended) hours and provides all food during the day!  There is also a refund policy in case your child doesn't use all the days you purchased in advance.  I signed up my 10-year-old, too, but he ended up getting off a wait list for another camp so I got my fee refunded to me.  I feel like this is a camp designed by parents because it is so easy to work with.  I'm really hoping they continue to offer an Arlington location!!

Our five-year-old daughter has had a fantastic time at Steve and Kate's Camp - Arlington this summer. My husband and I love the flexible hours, the fact that breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided, and the myriad of activities offered. Additionally, Jules, the Director, is wonderful as are all of the counsellors. Today was my daughter's fifth day at Steve and Kate's - Arlington and in that short amount of time she has constructed a small robot, made a short stop action film, ridden go-carts, learned to crochet a bracelet, made bread, and engaged in coding activities. Recently I had a day off of work and my daughter said she still wanted to go to Steve and Kate's because she's had so much fun there. I also really enjoy being able to log into my account and see photos of what my daughter is doing at camp during the day.
