Staff
Tireless child advocates, who balance structure and guidance with staying out of campers’ ways. All staff members are background checked and trained in CPR & first-aid.
Preposterous? Possibly. Effective? You betcha.
When you trust kids, they trust themselves. For 43 years, we’ve put kids in charge of their own learning experience. As they try, fail, and learn on their own, they learn to trust their own judgment, and tackle the challenges of an ever changing world with creativity and confidence.
Campers choose minute to minute from a variety of activities. They’ll decide what they want to do, and for how long. Our job is to get out of their way, cheerlead creative risks, and provide just enough guidance to make sure nobody does anything totally* senseless.
*Totally senseless: By our definition, mistakes aren’t senseless. They’re how you learn.
Buy any number of weeks to use throughout the summer! Or, if you need more camp, we have a Summer Pass, which covers the entire camp season. All Passes include lunch, snacks, activities, and all hours (8am–6pm), so there are no surprise fees later on.
And if for any reason your plans change, we’ll refund your unused Day Passes automatically in full at summer’s end.
This summer families will be required to reserve their weekly session prior to attending camp, due to Boston regulations. In order to provide care for as many full-time campers as possible, we ask that families please only reserve the session if they plan to attend that week. Still, we understand things happen, and we’ll refund unused days if anything comes up.

In the early morning and late afternoon, campers will ramp up and wind down with recreational choices. For the bulk of the day, children will choose from the activities listed below. While we can’t say exactly what the day will look like, one thing is for sure: The campers are in control.
For as long as Boston regulations require it, registration will be in weekly blocks, instead of by the day (which is our norm). So, please think about your plans in increments of five Day Passes, to cover your weekly session(s). That being said, we know that things happen. If for any reason your plans change, or you need to miss a day of camp, we’ll refund your unused Passes automatically in-full at summer’s end. We also offer need-based financial aid to qualifying families. Learn more or submit an application, here
All fees include lunch, snacks and all hours 8:00am to 6:00pm.

We provide daily lunch options from a rotating variety of local restaurants and caterers. We’ll also offer an array of snacks for kids to nosh on throughout the day. Check out the daily menu below.
Join us at an upcoming event! Our virtual Information Sessions are a great place to learn the basics on camp. We’ll give a quick presentation and overview on our program, and then answer any questions you have!
Please note that Information Sessions are open to all Steve & Kate’s Camps, and are not specific to any given location. We’ll also plan local events & opportunities to meet your team prior to camp. Check them out below and we hope to see you soon!
The state of Massachusetts also requires that any children attending camp at our Boston location complete additional paperwork. Please complete the additional state required paperwork & upload it to your account to be reviewed prior to your first day of camp.
Please note that our indoor activities will take place on the 4th floor and campers will need to take the stairs between indoor and outdoor activities.
Check out our virtual camp orientation for everything you need to know before your first day of camp, coming this spring. Once we get closer to summer, we’ll email registered families a link to our virtual, camp orientation. This will provide important information such as camp drop-off & pick-up procedures, how to check-in and check-out of camp each day, what to bring (and not bring), and a few more camp details.
This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the Boston Board of Health.
We have a ton of additional activities planned for this summer. Check them out:
We would love to help you learn more about our program and at the same time learn more about you and your camper.
This is Cesara’s 3rd year with Steve & Kate’s Camp! As a former properties designer for theatre, Cesara taught herself how to sew, craft, and general build some pretty cool things out of random materials. When not crafting or at camp, you can usually find Cesara napping or going for a dip in the nearest body of water.
This summer Cesara is most excited to meet all of the campers & learn everyones’ favorite ice cream flavor!
AND DOZENS MORE!
