Staff
Tireless child advocates, who balance structure and guidance with staying out of campers’ ways. All staff members are background checked and trained in CPR & first-aid.
Every aspect of our program is designed to put kids in charge of their own learning experience. At Steve & Kate’s, campers choose from a variety of activities in real-time, as they design their day at camp. As kids try, fail, and learn on their own–they learn to trust their own judgment. These will ultimately be the kids who are prepared to tackle the challenges of an ever changing world with creativity and confidence.
Buy any number of Day Passes to use any day we’re open this summer. You don’t even need to tell us when you’re coming–just show up! Or, if you need more camp, we have a Summer Pass, which covers the entire camp season. All Passes include lunch, snacks, activities, and all hours (8am–6pm), so there are no surprise fees later on.
And if for any reason your plans change, we’ll refund your unused Passes automatically in full at summer’s end.

With the trajectory of child vaccinations and loosening regulations, campers will, once again, design their day in real-time by choosing from a variety of activities offered at once. In the early morning and late afternoon, campers ramp up and wind down with recreational choices. For the bulk of the day, children will choose from the activities listed below. While we can’t say exactly what the day will look like, one thing is for sure: The campers are in control.
With vaccine availability on the rise and pandemic regulations opening up, we believe Summer 2022 will be back to our traditional, free-range programming, without requiring advanced weekly reservations. We’ll email all registered families if regulations change prior to summer.
Buy any number of Day Passes or a Summer Pass, and use them whenever you’d like during the summer. You don’t even need to let us know when you plan to join–just show up! If for any reason your plans change, we’ll refund your unused Passes automatically in-full at summer’s end. We also offer need-based financial aid to qualifying families. Learn more or submit an application, here.
PLEASE NOTE: We are now at capacity for the weeks of Aug. 22–Sept. 2nd for unregistered campers in the East Village. Campers who registered prior to 8/3 are still welcome to attend during these weeks.
If you’d like to attend camp in the East Village between 8/22-9/2, please join our waitlist to be notified if space opens up!
All fees include lunch, snacks and all hours 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Learn more about Steve & Kate’s Camp philosophy and activities at one of our upcoming virtual events! The Information Sessions are not specific to any camp location, so please feel free to attend any day/time that works for your schedule!
Check out our virtual camp orientation before your first day of camp! This page includes important camp details such as check-in/check-out procedures, what to bring (and not bring), and anything else you need to know for your first day!
The state of NY requires all campers to have these completed forms submitted and reviewed before their first day of camp.
Staff and campers will Complete a Wellness Survey and/or other screening to identify any potential health concerns upon arrival each day.
We have a ton of awesome activities planned for this summer. Check them out!
AND DOZENS MORE!
Our directors work year-round and would love to help you learn more about our program and at the same time learn more about you and your camper.
This will be Adam’s 4th summer working with Steve & Kate’s. When not at camp, Adam enjoys playing music, and recently took a dive into learning bluegrass mandolin.
This summer Adam is most excited to get to know all the campers!
