Summer solved with Steve & Kate's Camp

Since 1980 Steve & Kate’s has put kids in charge of their own learning experience at camp. Kids choose from a variety of activities in real-time, including sewing, stop-motion animation, coding, building, baking, sports, & more. Kids will choose what activities they want to participate in and for how long–designing their day as they go.

There’s plenty of perks for parents, too. Families can reserve any number of days–no weekly sessions or commitments required! You don’t even need to tell us when you’re coming–just show up! Lunch, snacks, & all hours (8am–6pm) included daily.

Ways To Join Camp

With 50+ locations across the US, we’re probably near you. Check out our summer camp locations to see what activities and specials are coming to camp near you.

Camp shouldn’t have an off-season. See our upcoming fall, winter, spring, & school break camp locations, here.

Does your employer offer back-up care through Bright Horizons? If so, you can use those benefits at camp! You can even apply the full value of your back-up care days to the cost of a Summer Pass—which covers all days we’re open in summer. Learn more, here.

Kind Words About Our Camps

"If kids ruled the world, it might look something like Steve and Kate’s Camp."
Apple's Hot News

"For families seeking a blend of that traditional camp experience combined with a modern, tech-savvy touch, there’s Steve and Kate’s Camp [which] evokes a laid-back aura true to its California roots, complemented by the company’s Silicon Valley-inspired innovative approaches to everything from programming to payment."
The Washington Post

"The children that attend Steve & Kate's blossom and discover a freedom of identity that, in a way, no other institution I've experienced has ever managed. Kids find their thumbprint at Steve & Kate's. My one complaint: Where were they when I was a kid?"
Andrew Stanton

Director of WALL-E, Finding Nemo, & Finding Dory

"Steve and Kate’s Camp didn’t set out to cater to the children of folks at Pixar, Industrial Light & Magic and the like, but given their philosophy, it’s no surprise so many attend."
Variety magazine

Activities for every interest

In the early morning and late afternoons at camp, children ramp up and wind down with recreational choices. For the bulk of the day, children will choose from the activities listed below. While we can’t say exactly what the day will look like, one thing is for sure: The campers are in control.

You’ve got questions — We’ve got
answers

We know that choosing the right camp for your family is a big deal, and you’ve got limited time to make that decision. That’s why we put together these quick answers to our most commonly asked questions. You can also find answers to less commonly asked questions, here. But if you’d rather talk to a real, live person–we get it. Just reach out!

What’s the age range for camp?

Camp is designed for children aged 4–12.

With that said, due to local regulations, a couple states require campers turn 5 years old by a certain date, or are entering kindergarten before their first day of camp. (CO, VA, GA–We're looking at you.) Please see your local camp page for any specific age requirements.

Automatic full refunds? Are you joking?

We do like to kid, but we're serious about automatic refunds. Once a camp season has ended, we'll search through any accounts that have unused Day Passes, and automatically refund them in full. If you purchased a Summer Pass, and don't end up using enough days to justify the cost, we'll calculate what you would have paid at the daily rate, and automatically refund you the difference.

Yes–we refund the full amount you paid.
No–there are no processing fees or anything like that.
Yes–we're serious!

Are there any additional fees?

Nope, you won’t find any surprise fees hiding under your kid’s bed (though we still recommend checking for other monsters).

Our all-inclusive rates include:

  • All camp hours (8 AM - 6 PM)
  • Snacks and lunch
  • Any activities that interest your child

Plus, we’ll refund any unused Day Passes at the end of the season. Learn more about our flexible fees and magical refunds here
