School Breaks Solved with Steve & Kate's Camp

Since 1980 Steve & Kate’s has put kids in charge of their own learning experience at camp. Kids choose from a variety of activities in real-time, including sewing, stop-motion animation, coding, building, sports, & more. Kids will choose what activities they want to participate in and for how long–designing their day as they go.

There’s plenty of perks for grown-ups, too. Families can reserve any number of days–no weekly sessions or commitments required! You don’t even need to tell us when you’re coming–just show up! Lunch, snacks, & all hours (8am–6pm) included daily.

Activities for every interest

In the early morning and late afternoons at camp, children ramp up and wind down with recreational choices. For the bulk of the day, children will choose from the activities listed below. While we can’t say exactly what the day will look like, one thing is for sure: The campers are in control.

STOP-MOTION ANIMATION

Create animated art in our bustling Media Lab, as you breathe life into your stories via stop-motion “shorts” filmed on our purpose-built animation stages.

SEWING SALON

Use customized patterns and challenges—and a mix of hand and machine sewing—to manufacture bags, clothing and other fashionable, funky creations. This year campers can even use stencils to design their own fabric.

TINKER LAB

Release your inner innovator with crafts, inventor kits, 3D pens, and giant foam blocks. Construct take-home projects or collaborate on large-scale builds such as forts or thrones. Our hand-selected STEAM-based materials fuel your curiosity and inspire exploration.

THE STAGE

Move and groove with motion-based games like Just Dance, or film your own music videos with friends. New this year campers can also make puppets for our custom theater. Want to burst out in song and dance, or act out a gripping dramatic scene? This is your big moment.

Run, jump, throw, kick, play. Each site is equipped with go-karts and additional athletic gear optimized for the available fields and play spaces. Team up with peers and staffers to play sports, design games, concoct obstacle courses and more.

WEEKLY SPECIALS

Every day, experience a special, show- stopping activity. A giant inflatable, a musical performance or guest speaker, a movement class, obstacle course—anything’s possible. We’ll announce our official 2024 specials lineup this spring.

STAFF

Tireless child advocates, who balance structure and guidance with staying out of campers’ ways. All staff members are background checked and trained in CPR & first-aid. Plus, our directors work year-round and would love to chat with you about camp. Get in touch with your local team.

FOOD

We provide daily lunch options from a rotating variety of local restaurants and caterers. We’ll also offer an array of snacks for kids to nosh on throughout the day. Check your local camp before summer for a daily menu.

Can I use my Back-Up Care through Bright Horizons at camp?

How Can I Use Back-Up Care at Steve & Kate's Camp?

We are pleased to offer our families the option to utilize their Bright Horizons Back-Up Care benefit at Steve & Kate's Camp.

You can reserve any number of the back-up care days you have in your BH account, buy additional retail days if you need more, and even apply the full value of your back-up care days to the cost of a Summer Pass—which covers all days we’re open in summer. Learn more here.

How Can I Reserve Care?

To access booking, you can go online or give their contact center a call at 877-242-2737, and request care at your local Steve & Kate’s Camp.

Once you reserve your care with Bright Horizons, first time users will receive an automatic email from Steve & Kate's Camp with your account username and the link to setup your password. Returning customers can simply log into an existing account with us. (This might feel like double work but it's the way we make sure your camper has an account and access to all of our materials!)

I made a Back-Up Care Reservation, now what?

Welcome to Steve & Kate's!

We are so excited to have your child attend camp with us through Bright Horizons Back-Up Care! In order to make the first day of camp as seamless as possible, we ask that you log in and complete all required information prior to the first day.

New Account Setup

If this is your first time with us, you would have received an email from Steve & Kate's titled "Action Required: Welcome to Steve & Kate's" and in this email is your account username and the link to setup your account password.

What’s the difference between summer & break camps?

School Breaks: Our Offerings

When school is out and kids need care, summertime isn't the only time that we come into play. While we can't offer the same size programs as during the long summer season, we work hard to make sure the break experience is still a memorable one for everyone.

Due to the shortened nature of break-time programs, we are limited to a portion of our activities that are appropriate for the smaller space and shorter duration. We like to think it's all the sweeter when you come back to camp and get to see all your favorite campers and staff who come back to spend time while schools out.

At the end of the day, we want all to have a great experience no matter the season or length of stay. We look forward to seeing all of you soon!
