STEVE & KATE'S BERKELEY · DATES: Jun 10 - Aug 9, 2019 · ADDRESS: The Berkeley School, 1310 University Avenue, Berkeley, CA

Berkeley Summer Camp

When kids explore, make mistakes, and learn, magical things happen and new worlds open up. I'm here at Steve & Kate's because I believe that when we as adults model respect and trust for kids, we help them know that they are capable, even when the going gets tough. I would love to talk with you - feel free to give me a call or drop me an email any time!

Activities for every interest.

Whatever your child’s passion, they can push their limits at our camp.
Stop-motion animation, fashion, coding, breadmaking, sports, music, dance, and so much more.

Each day at camp, we offer at least one showstopper activity from our lineup of Recreational Features. The Director at each location will decide when and how often to schedule each of their three Recreational Features, so feel free to contact your Director or look at the Daily Features schedule below to find out what will be scheduled each day.

Animatronic Ride-Ons Have Chicken? Will travel! Whether by Moose, by Croc or aforementioned Chicken, campers can confidently cruise and careen til they’re keen on these custom motorized karts. Helmets are required and will be provided if needed, but we highly encourage you to bring your own.

Gaga - The name of the game and also how campers feel about it: Gaga! This fan fave is essentially a high energy dodgeball-style game played in an octagonal pit. There may be 8 sides to this arena, but one opinion...gaga!

Climbing Wall - Race to the top of the mobile Climbing Wall and soak up the view. Camp looks beautiful from 20' in the air. Closed toe shoes recommended for participation.

Throughout each week, we'll spice camp up with featured workshops such as dance, sports clinics, or dress-up days.  We generally schedule the most jaw-dropping summer camp feature on Friday! Check back often for updates!

Thanks so much for your camp. We wish his elementary school was designed the same way! He absolutely flourished over the summer because of it. Brilliant organization and wonderful, caring counsellors. Also, the food was a big hit! He loved it.

My son loves Steve & Kate's. I strongly recommend [it] to everyone, and I plan to have him go every year until he's too old. For my son, Steve & Kate's in Berkeley is both familiar to him and a place he feels safe. A lot of camps offer childcare, Steve & Kate's offers a place where kids can be themselves and have a blast. It's a place created for kids and focused on giving them autonomy and the ability to explore and be themselves.

He LOVED it. It was one of the best received camps he's ever gone to, and he's been to a lot. I appreciated the staff keeping in touch with us, how it was organized, both on the first day of camp and all the info on the website. I love the hours and that lunch is included. I love the creativity and independence you foster. Thank you very much.
